At our 125th anniversary celebrations in May, one of our visitors asked if we had a sign for the outside of the Lodge. We didn’t. That visitor was Jim Cole, a past master of Lodge Almondale No 1658 in the province of Linlithgowshire. When he heard that we had no sign, he very graciously offered to make one for us.
He came to Arran for our meeting on 19 October 2015 and formally presented our brand-new sign to our Lodge. Our thanks go to Brother Jim for his very kind presentation. The sign is aluminium and built to withstand the Arran weather — not that it rains here much, but just on the off chance that there’s the odd shower.
