The annual visitation of the PGL of Argyll & the Isles took place on Saturday, 11 April 2026. Unfortunately, it was not the usual bumper day for the lodge, as the weather had disrupted the ferries. That’s the islands for you. Thankfully, we had enough provincial office-bearers from our own lodge, so the deputation went ahead, ably led by the Provincial Grand Treasurer, Andrew Perrie.
Two visitors managed over from Ayrshire, our regular visitor, Bro. Martin Merrivale, and a first-time visitor, Bro. Angus Hendrie from Lodge St David (Tarbolton) Mauchline No.133. Bro. Hendrie kindly stood in as the candidate for the exemplification of the Fellowcraft Degree, which was delivered in the usual St Molios style by the following team:
- Reception and obligation – Bro. Derek William Mackie Fleming RWM
- Signs and secrets – Bro. Richard A McMaster WJW
- Apron – Bro. Alan Coutts WSW
- Working tools – Bro. Alan Coutts WSW
- Tracing Board Lecture – Bro. Alan Campbell IPM
- Charge – Bro. Donald Mackay PM JD.
