On Saturday, 11 April 2009, the Provincial Grand Lodge of Argyll & the Isles visited Lodge 774. The visitation included two Provincial Grand Masters, Brother Douglas Craig, PGM of Argyll & the Isles, and Brother Archie Chalmers, PGM of Ayrshire.
The visitors witnessed a second degree for Brother Alex Roberts, following which Brother Alan Campbell of Lodge Prestwick 1060 was obligated as an affiliate of Lodge St Molios No 774 and Brother Douglas Craig was obligated as an honorary member, much to his surprise.
A favourable report of Lodge 774 was written by Brother Douglas Craig, congratulating the Master, Brother John Corbett and his degree team on an excellent second degree and congratulating the Lodge Secretary and Treasurer for a set of well-kept books and accounts.
