Tim Keen’s installation as Right Worshipful Master for his second term was held on Saturday 5 December. The installing masters were Andrew Martin and John McDonald, assisted by Donald Mackay.

Installation Day Weather
The weather was grim with only one sailing of the Caledonian Isles from Brodick, but it was enough to get the visitors from Rothesay No 292 over. The Claonaig ferry made it into Lochranza too, albeit it slightly late, so the Provincial boys were a bit late to the meeting. Never fear though, it was an excellent installation followed by a great harmony where we dined on Past Master Galbraith’s famous roadkill stovies. The Provincial rep was Kenneth Harvey, the Provincial Grand Chaplain.
Toast
Alan Campbell toasted the visitors in style – he had to go home straight after the meeting and get into something more comfortable as he was playing with the Arran Ceilidh Band in Brodick, but he came back to polish off some stovies and give an excellent speech. Robert Chicken of 1306 replied in equal style.
John Murchie toasted the Province, raising a few laughs as he did. Kenneth Harvey replied and regaled us with the story of having VIP tickets at Motherwell.
Tim Keen thanked his installing masters and presented them with a bottle of Arran malt in a personally engraved display box. Tastefully done!
All in all, it was a great day of brotherly love and harmony. Freemasonry is a alive and well on the Isle of Arran!
